Thomas, Brooks

Brooks Thomas is theoretical particle physicist and a postdoctoral fellow in the High-Energy Physics Group at the University of Hawaii. He has been a participant in the PDP since 2011. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Michigan in 2007 and served as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Arizona from 2007 to 2010. His research spans a variety of topics in high-energy particle physics, including dark-matter physics, collider physics, electroweak-symmetry breaking, supersymmetry, and theories with extra spacetime dimensions. He hopes to pursue an academic career in physics and to apply the experience he has gained as a participant in the PDP to his own teaching and curriculum design.
